Kaskade

Today we have an amazing artist with some roots right here in Utah! Known by his stage name, Kaskade, is a very successful house/electro producer who went to BYU from 1989-1990 and moved later to the University of Utah. He released his first single in 2001 and has been releasing chart-climbing tracks ever since. The first top 10 single he released was the song “Steppin Out” which I challenge you to say that it doesn’t at least make you start tapping your foot.

From the Big Cities to the Big Time

Moving numerous times throughout his life, Kaskade has lived in Chicago, LA, San Fransisco, New York, and Tokyo, earning him the nickname “Big City.” In 2006, he left his old record label to join the massive Ultra Records and has been recording with them ever since. Since then, he has also collaborated with the popular producer Deadmau5 to create the smash hits “Move for Me” and “I Remember.”

Music to Set Your Feet on Fire

Kaskade is consistently producing the hits and releasing remixes, mash-ups, and original mixes that are all amazing in their own way. Besides all this producing, he is keeping busy with projects like thetruth.com’s Remix Project, creation of a video highlighting his creative process called “The Craft.” He also DJs the pool parties at the Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas, which is where he first dropped his mash-up of his “Fire in Your New Shoes” vs. “One” by Swedish House Mafia.
