Today we have a new artist that has exploded on the scene and taken over! Sonny Moore, known as Skrillex, is a new producer with quite the history who’s popularity has skyrocketed over this past year. Classified as a dubstep artist, his style is unlike anyone else and he has produced some of the most unique songs I have ever heard. Before he started producing, he started as a a singer for the band “From First to Last” from 2004 to 2007 before leaving to pursue a solo career. In 2008 he started to DJ under the stage name Skrillex and in summer 2010 he released his first EP My Name is Skrillex as a free download. Since then he has signed onto Deadmau5’s label and released his second EP Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites. He has toured with Deadmau5 and is coming soon to Utah so be on the lookout.
